As a social and community outreach event planner, Shauna wanted to put something together that would inspire more women to do what they love, follow their passions and dreams, and connect as a community. As an advocate for female and minority empowerment, Shauna hopes that Winning Woman Wellness will serve as a representation of what all women can be if they persist, believe, and connect with one another as a community.

Cara Jorgensen
Spring 2018 Guest Speaker.
Cara Jorgensen is a 24 year old entrepreneur and owner of The Gâteau Baking Company. In previous lives, she was a San Diego native and studied philosophy in college. Since coming of age in Charlotte, Cara has spent time as a women’s clinic defender, an organizer of jail solidarity, and has donated upwards of $10,000 to local non-profits such as Safe Alliance and Planned Parenthood. Her goal is to always put community first in whatever she does. Currently, Jorgensen is working through coming forward in being a victim of workplace harassment and closing her bakery as a result.
