3 Things, 30 Days
#MotivationMondays serve to inspire and empower Winning Women to find ourselves, love ourselves, and honor our truths.
In this #motivationmonday video, Lisa Nichols affirms once again that mindset is everything. If there is nothing else you believe in, you must believe that your mindset and the words that you allow yourself to say and hear have the power to shape who you are and how you view the world. A positive mindset and value-filled dialogue are so important in achieving our greatest dreams and goals.
How to Use Affirmations:
Choose a place where you know you'll look every day. For me, it's my full length mirror that I use to get ready every morning. Take a marker or sticky notes and fill this space with reminders of who you are. If you're not sure what to write, think of the things that you represent and stand for, the qualities you aspire to live up to fully, and the things you'd like to be remembered for. My mirror is full of one liners that remind me that I am beautiful, I am strong, I am successful. The key is to use "I am..." because when you affirm who you ARE - not who you want to be or who you wish you were - when you speak these words into the universe, you make them that much more true.
These THREE phrases are the sentences Lisa Nichols used for 30 days to pull herself out of depression:
I'm proud that you...
I forgive you for...
I commit to you that...
I challenge you, starting with today, to write down in a journal for the next 30 days - seven sentences completing "I'm proud that you...", seven sentences completing "I forgive you for...", and seven sentences completing "I commit to you that...". Before you begin, I encourage you to write down how you feel about yourself and your life in this moment. Once you've completed your 30 days, I encourage you to, again, write down how you feel about yourself and your life in that moment. Reflect on the changes you've witnessed in your life and the shifts in your mindset that have taken place over the 30 days that you practiced this exercise. Compare how you felt on day one to how you felt on day 30. I bet it's different, even if only subtly, in a positive direction.
